2001 F150 4.2 trouble code

Friend of mine has taken his F150 to Autozone to have codes read and got P0406 code. Any ideas on what could be the culprit here? I don't know anything about the 4.2, but told my buddy I would give this forum a try since I've got some good info on my older F150 here. Thanks in advance.

Can't find a 406 code. Are you sure? What year and engine size?

P0406 EGR Sensor A Circuit High Input

Year and engine size don't matter in OBD II - its a standard for all engines.

Not exactly what this will translate to in an F-150. Try looking at this link:

Even though its for a Honda Accord, it describes what appears to be a generic condition that might cause this code to get thrown.
