I have a 2001 F150 4.2 v6 and it keeps tearing up the serpintine belt. I can see where the belt is being torn up, its coming off of the very bottom pulley which causes it to tear itself up. I was told that it could be the harmonic balancer, and i wanted to know if anyone else had similar problems.

 

Have you ever taken the blancer off before....maybe it isn't pressed on all the way.
