I have a 1997 with 154K on it and I'm having trouble cranking my truck after it's been running a while. I've had the battery checked and the starter is relatively new. It will crank after I shut it down but it's really sluggish turning over and I have to try several times. Any suggestions or solutions?

Check and replace your ground cable, That did it for me.

 

Yes,check "ALL" your connections to and from the starter. I had the same problem and tightened the connections at the starter and that fixed it.
