Question Stall while turning.

45K miles on a 2001 4.2L.

The truck stalls when slowing down to go into a turn after steady driving for 30 minutes or more. This only happens after a long drive at constant speed. Around town is no problem.

Any ideas?

Changed fuel filter about 10K miles ago. I can't figue it out. The problem is almost like carburator float problems. I used to have a carb. engine that would do the same thing when going around corners and it turned out to be the float. Maybe It's the injectors, but I don't think so - not with only 45K on the engine that has mostly highway miles (60 mi/hr. most of the time).

Found my problem,

The DPFE was bad. Replaced and now no stalls anymore.

The part number on the original part was YYF1E-9J460-AD. I got the replacement which is 2F1Z-9J460-AA. I think this is the enhanced part due to all the falures of the original.

I got the part for $49.99 at http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com/

That is the exact same problem I have, when I turn a corner my RPM's drop and almost stalls most of the time and other times it will actually stall.

Would that DPFE Sensor also cause a rough idle when sitting at a stop light?
