I have called Ford several times during the last couple of weeks concerning my 97 f-150 4.2L 5speed engine now needing to be replaced from what started as a coolant leak at the timing cover gasket.
What I am being told is that if Ford gets enough complaints of the same problem then they would issue a recall...or extend...or whatever.
If you have never called to complain, please do. If you have called before and think that it is hopeless, call them again anyway.
I was also told to keep all receipts in case of this.
If you have a 97 f-150 4.2L engine and you have, or have had problems with this engine, even if you have already had it repaired and paid for it yourself, call them and tell them.
