Plug gap for Platniums?
Big time project kinda guy here.
Sold my old '51 Chevy sedan to fund this truck.
Really, what I wanted was something I wouldn't HAVE to work on so much.
There are quite a few projects on the board for this one though.
I'll be using this vehicle as a work truck as much as a play vehicle.
Most of my time on the asphalt is done on motorcycles, but I'm a craftsman too, so a good truck is a necessity.
Some of the things to come will be
-install inverter power supply
-onboard air
-fabricate skidplate/front bumper/fairlead-winch mount
-somehow get a touch more clearance under the truck for getting around offroad with a load (mabye springs, mabye spindles...)
-fabricate modular rack system/roll bar
-electric fans
Kinda like the way this thread has hijacked itself too...
Got to figure out which ATF is going to be the good one for the five speed.
Need to look at some of those visor/storage shelf thingies.
Might just make one of those too.
This truck has the bench seats, no center console.
I'd like to put a CD player up there and some other electronics, perhaps two way radio and 12V power outlets for GPS and cellular power.
I think I have a good program here to keep out of the old withdrawl symptom condition.
As it is, the little 4.2 feels like it's just broken in.
Seems like a brand new truck.
