I am swapping my 4.2l engine with the thrown rod with a new rebuilt engine. I have a question on timing and distributors. I have not taken the intake manifolds off the old one yet, but i am assuming there is a distributor shaft that i have to make sure it installs correctly. I would appreciate any help in making this as easy as possible.

 

All Ford's engines that went into the new body style trucks (97-03) have distributorless ignitions.
