Well, I was cleaning my airaid and broke it today. I was cleaning it, and set it down on the bumper of my moms sports car, and I set it there to get my phone when it was ringing. When I came back out my mom was behind it, andhe car had backed out and ran over it. Crushed the filter and broke the tube!! O well, so i put the stock air filter back in a can notice a little loss of responce and my exhaust isnt as loud... Im going to get another one prob not airaid, prob like a mac or something because there all the same.....

 

sorry to hear about you lose. I sort of know how you feel. I didn't have an airaid in the first place! Going with the Mac is a good idea. That's the next mod on my list. The metal tubing looks alot better than the plastic. When are you planning on getting yours? Maybe we can round up a few people and get in on a group purchase. I plan on ordering mine within a few months of next year. Can you wait that long?

 

Also what brand grille do you have? It looks pretty sharp. How much did you pay for it? I really want one for my truck. Also, if anyone is looking to sell a grille looking like that for a reasonable price then write me at isaac@f150online.com Thanks,

 

Thanks for the complements!! I love the grill, I think it adds a sharp look to the truck. I have a BILLET Grill, its polished you can get them chromed but its another 80 bucks and they were to yellowish for me. It was $125 from ORW here in San Diego. I just found the MACS and there 139 on ebay or something but I also just found these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1875112474 which is basically the same thing and its a cool color I actually ordered it and with tax because i live in cali and shipping it was like $108. The only thing is its not carb legal in cali (california has some stupid smog laws, and if you dont live in cali you dont have to worry about it!!), but the macs say they are but I called them and they said that they dont give carb exempt stickers, so its the same thing. My truck is new, it doesnt have to be smoged for 4 years, so if my new intake isnt carb legal ill just put the stock one back on, hey im saving $100 compared to the airaid. There in LA, CA and it should be here by mon, so Ill install it and post results about it!!

 

I have the Filter and Tube if you would like to replace your's. I'll sell them pretty dang cheap. Can't name a price on here cause of legal issiues with the Moderator, but if you give me your email addie, I will email what I want to sell and then we can discuss a price.
