In the market to purchase

Hey people,

I'm currently looking to buy a used F-150 2004 to 2006 with the super crew cab (the big full 4 doors) V8 4.6L, 2WD.

Now I think I found the one I want, its a 2004 F-150, Super crew, V8 4.6L, 90K miles, Blue with black interior. I went to look at the truck and take it for a test drive. The dealer is asking $15,995. Truck looks super clean in and out, no smell of smoke and carfax shows 1 owner and no accidents. I took the truck for a short drive and it rode awesome super peppy for the smaller V8, brakes are super touchy looks like they replaced the rotors and brakes all around.

So now the only part I'm worried about is the 90k miles but I don't know if I should worry I am from New england where vehicles just don't last. But now Im here in sunny long beach California so is that ok or should I look for something with less miles the price is exactly what I want to pay.

Please any help would be greatly appeciated.

Kevin

Well I took the wife to take a look at it since its really for her. She loves the color, loves the interior, likes that it looks brand new in and out. But she is still hesitant that its got 90k. I believe its perfect its only 2 1/2 years old, and out here in southern cali it was probaly all highway and there is not a spot or even a presence of rust on the underside. It looks brand freakin new.

I am going to go back tomorow with her car to talk about trade in and see if i can drop the price. I posted the same thing in the engine portion of the forum and all they said is change the water pump and serpentine belt. I'll demand that they do that.

I'll keep you guys posted

go to this forum https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=37801
see if you see one that fits the description of your truck, or better yet start a new thread in the General discussion forum and ask about that model and people will reply on how many miles they have had on it and if they have had problems, this forum is a little less looked over by members
or even better yet put it in the 2004 - forum
