Post Ultimate Equations Page!!!

Found this in 4wheeler magazine.
All the equations you can imagine

Miles Per Hour

MPH = rpm x tire diameter
-------------------
gear ratio x 336

Revolutions Per Minute

RPM = mph x gear ratio x 336
----------------------
tire diameter

Gear Ratio

Gear ratio = rpm x tire diameter
-------------------
mph x 336

Effects of Bigger Tire

Effective Ratio =

new tire diameter
----------------- x org. ratio
old tire diameter

Equivalent Gear Ratios

Equivilant ratio =
old tire diameter
----------------- x original ratio
new tire diameter

Crawl Ratio

Crawl Ratio = first gear x low range x gear ratio

Speedo Correcctions

Actual MPH =
new tire diameter
----------------- x indicated mph
old tire diameter

This is from the July 2001 issue of Four Wheeler.

I just thought this may be useful to some people. Also maybe a reference page for those considering a regear.
