How many quarts????
I know that my owner's manual says that my 99 Expedition 4x4 5.4L holds 16.7 quarts of automatic transmission fluid. How much does just the pan hold???? Also, has anyone used Quaker State 4X4 synthetic ATF???? Also, what's the big difference between MERCRON and MERCRON V????

The pan hold about 6 quarts.
MERCON and MERCON V are very different fluids. The friction characteristics are different, and the viscosity is different. They are not interchangeable. Be sure to use the correct fluid or you could have a transmission failure.
