Hailz all...I am new to the posts and from reading the tranny forum it sounds like the F150 trannys are sluggish right from the factory...mine is starting to **** me off so I thought I would give the forum a read...so what is the deal with the 4R70W? I have heard about major complaints with s-crew owners and the dealerships only seem to be seeing s-crews with the 5.4/4R70W combo having the problem, what about the supercab with the same combo?..what's the story here? I have the 5.4/4R70W combo and I am starting to see some probs at only 11k on my '02 supercab. I have read on other sites that the 4R70W is a light duty tranny and is not strong enough to handle the power of the 5.4 and that the 4R100 is recommended which you can only purchase with the Lightning or the 7,700 payload package. Whats the deal?
