1980 manual trans. in f-series truck. i replaced clutch, barrings, etc...now it is automatically engaged when i crank it...why? only thing i know is the plate that the slave arm pushes was very loose, is this normal? i am broke, and need answers fast, please tell me why it is engaged all the time, and what i need to do please,...asap.

 

Sounds like a mis aligned clutch..like the clutch is pressed right up against the pressure plate....Just my thoughts...DAVE
