Hi LaserNAV,

Sounds like normal torque converter lockup, nothing to worry about.

Question Transmission Windup?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what going on with the transmission when.
I stomp on it the engine seem to out rev the transmission. What I mean is that the engine will rev right up as I launch But then my RPM’s drop down a little to about 3500 and stay there while I am still accelerating rapidly. Once the transmission catches up the RPM’S start to climb again. I dont think there is a Performance issue but still makes me Curious.
Is this normal a normal thing?
I know I have the 4R100.

Is this the way that it sheds all the additional torque being applied? It does not seem to be wasted power since I am still totally launching durring this point.

Thanks, I am always wondering if things are working correctly. This is my first Automatic in quite a while.
