Post 4.6 supercharger and transmission?

i am ready to supercharge my 4.6, but i am very concern about the trany being able to handle the extra h.p.. Can anyone tell me if my concerns are valid, and if they are, can i beef up my trany?

thank you

p.s. i am planing on keeping this truck for a while.

veloci,

I've only got about 3k on mine since the install. No problems yet. I know that dosen't help much, but I noticed you have 4.10's for future mods. I had my 4.10's installed after the supercharger. I immediately wished I had done the gears first. You may want to ponder that a little. If I had done the gears first I just might not have done the supercharger, for a while at least. They feel that much better. Don't get me wrong, I really like the blower. It's just that the gears absolutely made the biggest *felt* power gain of all the mods I've done so far. Something to think about anyway.

Needs one more door.

Cool

Veloci, I would definately recommend a shift kit for your tranny. I am talking about a valve body kit to firm up your shifts. I lost my torque converter on a dyno run and I will be installing a new Art Carr with a 2000 to 2400 stall converter. That should be the last trouble from the transmission. I am also installing 4:10 gears. That will also make it easier on the transmission. Hope this helps.
