Clunking noise?????

Hey, fellow STX owner. Well, I'm assuming STX by the user name.
Do you get the clunk as your letting the clutch out. After the clutch has engaged? Can you feel anything in the shift lever, perhaps indicating a transmission or clutch issue? Coud it be a suspension componant that acts up when the torque is applied, or weight is shifted? Could there be something loose, exhaust or breaks?
I can tell you from experiance that noises can be a real pain to figure out. It's hard to discribe what it sounds like here on the boards. Hopefully some one who has has a clunk will see this and tell of their experiance so you have some where to start.
Now, smells are a pain to figure out (see my clutch burning thread in this section).
Good luck!
