I have a 5.4 with a B&M shift plus on the E40D...For some reason on hard shifts, my tranny squeeks..Like the Band is Squealing..Is anyone else having this problem?..It only happens some of the time other times the trans works great....

I have taken the truck in for trans slippage before the kit twice...Ford would do nothing..They said there was nothing wrong..So I put the kit in...

Is this common, or do I have a bad trans?

I have a squeak on hard shifts as well, and I know that my buddies squeaks as well, but it didn't do it before he added the chip to his truck.
I am thinking that it isn't the actual tranny that is squeaking, but have a feeling that it is the rear end bushings that is squeaking instead, with the way that the rear end will move upon hard shifts, but just what I am thinking.....just another idea!!!

Mine does it to it did not to it untill I put the chip in and the airaid system I don't think that it is hurting anything I hope not. I sure know that people look at me funny when it does it.

how do you like the b&m shift plus I am thinking about putting in a true shift kit like that where did you get it and how much $$$$$..

Are you all sure it's not the serp. belt slipping? Once I started adding aftermarket
parts my belt and tensioner goes bad about
every 6000 miles. squeals at every shift point. This may be what your hearing. Does
anyone know if underdrive pulleys will solve
this dilemma?
