Drivers side door sticker. in 1999 (and many other years for that matter) Under the code for Tran is a single letter. "E" for 4R100 and "U" for 4R70W. Also the Tranny Dip stick says Mercon for 4R100 and Mercon V for 4R70W

(Note: some very early 4R70Ws used Mercon and the dip stick reflected that but the door sticker still says "U" for 4R70W)
