Cool

If it is the clutch I would think it would be covered under warranty at only 24,000 miles. I wouldn't think the dealer would fuss over this. On all sticks I've owned I've gotten about 100k out of a clutch and most of that off-road. When you get time I'd let the dealer take a look before your warranty is up.

Good luck.

Question Clucth slipping question

I'm having a problem with my 98 F150 4x4 xlt 4.2l V6 5spd. The problem occurs in all gears, but predominantly in 3rd or 4th, and only from 1800 to 2200 RPM. What happens is when you're cruising at any RPM in that window, and you try to accellerate, it skips kinda. its almost like a shudder or like you suddenly loose traction, and then abrubtly regain it. it lasts less than a second, and will do it every couple of seconds, if you continue trying to accelerate. My truck only has 24,000 miles, so I wouldn't think it would be normal clutch wear. the only reason I haven't taken it to a dealer yet, is that I'm so busy right now, that I can't afford to be with out my truck, for several days. and I can't afford a $600 clutch job if thats what they tell me I need. So, does any body have any Ideas?

TIA
