Question transgo or reprogramed superchip?

What will be better? Has anybody done both? What will keep the transmission in better shape, wear and tear and all that? At what rpm is the transgo kit set to shift, how many rpm above stock set up?
Thank you for any feedback on this.

I have both and the trans works fine. I pulled it back into 2nd at about 45-55 one day just to see what would happen. It still works okay.

veloci - i too have done both but would recommend the transgo first definately!!!! i did the superchip first and was pleased but when the transgo was installed i couldnt stop grinning........it changes out like a seriuos sports car now - even better the gear changes jerk you - medium, not too jerky - its the police grade kit. FEELS AWESOME everyime it changes.

Cool

Ok, i understand that the transgo kit is really worthit but my question should have been: will reprograming the chip to shift firmer and change shifting points be as good or better than the transgo kit?

Please, give me some feedback, i am planning on doing whichever is best by next week.

I did the TransGo shift kit and then when I called Mike Troyer about a Superchips he correctly advised that it may be too rough with both. He cautioned that I may want to exclude the firmer shifting from the Superchip program. I told him a knew a chiropractor so I could get my neck fixed and went for the whole thing. I am glad I did.
