Post Synthetic lubes?

Anyone run synthetic lubes in there tranny's.? Or Transfer Cases?

If so what do you think.

I am thinking of converting all of my fliuds to synthetic! Engine I do already, but I was going to use amsoil in the tranny, transfer and rear end.

What year is your truck? If 97 and up rear end is filled with synthetic fluid already from factory. It costed me 95.00 to find out the hard way. steve

Below was cut from Mobil 1's "product fact sheet" on Mobil 1 ATF.

Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is a new-generation, synthetic transmission fluid
which outperforms all conventional multipurpose ATF fluids.
The product is manufactured from synthesized hydrocarbon base oils and a
specially balanced additive system. The synthetic fluid is fully
compatible with petroleum ATF products. However, it has better thermal
and oxidation stability, a higher inherent VI, extremely low pour point,
and improved low-temperature fluidity (down to -54° C or -65° F). The
fluid provides unique advantages in long-term friction retention and air
release. In many front-wheel drive vehicles with manual transmissions,
Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF will provide excellent gear shifting and
protection under severe driving modes. It has demonstrated outstanding
performance in extended drain, low-temperature field testing, and
improved transmission durability and cleanliness.

Have not changed the tranny fluid yet in the Expy (1500 miles) but I can tell you it works great in my 93 T-bird Super Coupe (5 speed) and 94 Lightning (Auto).
