I will, but I haven't had a chance to check it yet! Off to referee more basketball games tonight.

Doin the install, done with all the drilling and changing parts etc, now at to point of closing it all up but when I was dropping the oil pan there were two things that dropped into the pan. One was a plunger with a stem and a o-ring and the other is some sort of small rectangular cupped filter. Can't figure out what the hell these are or where they go. Any Help???

Did it look like this? If so, chuck it in the trash & no worries.

The rectangular filter is probably the little screen that goes with the valve body. Check over the directions and you'll probably see it in the pics. It goes right next to the Solenoid Regulator Valve on the 4R70W kit.

Good luck & let us know how things turn out for you.

LE PEW,
Thanks for your reply, that was one of the items. I heard that it is some plug they use at the factory for the filler tube, I did chuck it. The filter is not the little rectangular one that goes inside the valve body. This thing dropped out before I even disassembled the valve body. I checked all over and couldn't find a place for it!!! Put everything back without it and it's working fine.

That filter/screen goes between the valve body and the transmission innards on the drivers side rear of the trans. If you look up into there, you will see a cavity shaped just like the screen! (Spoken by a man who did it the hard way)

Just ordered the transgo shift kit yesterday, probably going to get a transmission shop to do it for me. I would prbably screw it up.

Y2kXLTSport,
Thanks!! I guess I'll drop the pan again and try to find where the filter goes. Yesterday, I looked all over and couldn't find it but at least now I know where to look!!

So far the same noises appear to be there. I can only hear them when I'm shutting down in the garage after my commute and it sounds like pressure being relieved.

I did a search on the site and couldn't find anything that resembled what I'm talking about, so if you have any other suggestions, please let em fly!

Each time you do this it gets easier. Did you torque your valve body bolts to spec and in the order the manual requires? Just curious.

Y2kXLTSport ,
I have the same sounds in my truck but they have always been there. Are you using the air conditioner or the defroster?
This sounds to me like the pressure in the air-conditioning system burping out after turning off the engine. You probably were not listening for it before.

Maybe, but the pressure sounds like its being relieved with the engine running when I move the selector from drive to N or Park. Also, I almost always turn off my AC and put down my windows before I roll in

If it's happening while running thats a different story. If it happens after turning off the engine then ignore it. My truck makes so many hisses and creeks after I turn it off that I stopped listening.
