Tranny shifts in & out
I've got a 94 150 4x4 302 w/ 31 series BFG.
Going down the highway this thing will constantly shift in and out of OD @ 70, also the cruise really fluctuates, drops 5mph before getting back to the set speed.(did this with the origional tires which I got 75k out of... twin I-beam eats tires? My @$$!!)
I have 3.55 gears... when accelerating from a stop, it is a dog till about 20mph, never noticed it this bad till recently, just attributed it to the gearing before. I have 98,800. Will a tranny service help eleviate this?

You are towing in too tall a gear. Leave your transmission in 3rd(OD off). You maybe turning more rpms than desireable in which case you need to change diffrential ratios. 3.31 or 3.08 for example and tow in 3rd.
