Question Adding a Tranny Cooler?

I would like to add a tranny coller to my truck, 4.6 auto., and was wondering if anyone has added one themselves. Is it difficult?, what are the best brands?
Ford wants about $150 Cdn. for the coller itself, plus maybe $60 for the related fitttings PLUS 1.5hrs. labour.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cool

You should be able to pick up a tranny cooler from just about any auto parts store or mail order for about $60(US) It should be easy to install. Just remember to put the cooler in-line with the return line.

I got a 18,000 GVW transmission cooler from Summit for $39.99. They even pay the shipping. Their part number is SUM-4960. They have larger but this one will get the job done for most. 800 230 3030
