Hey guys, I need your help.
My 1997, 93K mile trans has started making a funny noise.
When the trans is cold, sitting for several hours or overnight, it'll whistle when dropped into reverse or drive. In drive the noise stops when it shifts to second gear. Stops completely after driving for a mile or two, (warmed up?).
Fluid was changed at about 65K and the torque converter was drained too. Refilled with 14 qts of Mobil1 ATF.
I do some short distance weekend towing, 4000-4500 lbs and never in OD.
Fluid color is good and smells goo too. Always full, never a leak.

Any ideas?
