Well, as I reported before I got my new trans about 2 weeks ago. The down shifting is crap and now it is starting to clack when it down shifts, just like it did before they replaced it. Get this one,,, I crawled under the truck yesterday to take a look at the new trans, THE PAN AND OTHER NUTS ARE PITTED AND RUSTED! The pan is almost completely orange. Looks like it sat in the ocean for while, and to top things off, the output shaft seal is leaking trans fluid. This is on top of the high idle and low power in the summer problems. I am disgusted with Ford.

Ask to have your zone rep inspect it to verify the quality of the workmanship by the dealer's technician (and to verify that it isn't merely a salvaged transmission).

That sucks. Sorry to read about your experience -- I get ill just thinking about doing war with the dealer for everything.

 

Yeah, I hear ya. I am doing my best to get the factory rep to meet me at the dealer. He has been real good so far. I also had the pcm flash done per the latest TSB a couple of weeks ago for the low power in hot temps, did not work. I am starting to wonder if I got a salvaged trans or not. They now want to replace all the rusted parts. I am at my wits end with this thing.
