I just purchased a '97 4x4 Auto Trans. I took it to my mechanic who said the front seal in the Tranny was leaking. I checked with the dealership and they said to bring it back, but some leaking is normal with the seals they use these days.... is this just a line? or is there some truth to that?

 

No amount of leakage is normal. The newer seals do not leak unless something is wrong.
