Hello

I purchased my Transgo Kit from
http://www.truckperformance.com/
for my 97 F150.

Not sure where to get the sonnex valves.
If you find out let me know. thanks

I like how the transgo kit firms the shifts.
Just Make sure you follow the written Instructions that come with the kit. The Video doesn't got by the Kit that's for the F150.

If you have any Questions about doing the Install of the kit. Email me at billy720@mail.com.

Does anyone know if there is a web site for Transgo?

I have heard that it is better to buy direct from the company because there has been some revisions to the kit and you may get an older one from a vender.

I don't know if this is true, any comments?

ROUSHFAN1- You're Welcome !! The 2 Sonnax valves take about 5 minutes to install once the valve body is out for a shift kit.

kpaton- the same Transgo shift kit fits 1991-2001. You won't find dusty kits like this at Summit; these products turn over quickly in their inventory.

Here's an Ignorant Question :)

What automatic transmission comes in a 2001 F150 SC 4.6. I was looking into the a transgo and wasn't sure if I have the AOD, AODE, or the E4OD.

Thanks guys!

Adam_01_F150-

It should be code "U" on the driver's side door jamb sticker. The transmission for this code is the 4R70W.

The Sonnax valves will work with either shift kit or without any shift kit at all. They simply replace stock parts.

That was good for a laugh. I would've laughed even harder if you put the newer "correct" name in there. The AOD, AODE, & 4R-70W are all the same basic transmission. There are differences in them between the years. The E4OD in now known as the 4R100W. You will get that only in a SuperDuty or a Lightning. I'm not sure if it is included in the 7700# payload package now or not.

In any case, you'll have the 4R70W.
