Stock Gearing and Trans. cooler question

I just purchased a 1997 F150 Lariat Supercab 4X4 longbed with the 5.4 motor. My understanding is that all longbed trucks come standard with the 3.73 gears. Is this true?

Also, I assume that this truck came standard with a transmission cooler. True?

Thanks for the information!

Question #1 is not true. Get the axle code off of the driver's side door jamb sticker or the actual ratio off of a tag under one of the rear-end cover bolts. Question #2 Open your hood and see where the transmission lines attach to the driver's side radiator tank. One of these lines should split off and go to a cooler in front of the radiator on the passenger's side.
