Angry 4X4 trouble...it won't catch....

A few months ago I had transmission problems. Took it to the Dealer, (Tommie Vaughn Ford), and it took four trips and a total of about 2 1/2 weeks to correct the slippage I was getting.
A couple of days ago, I decided to put it in 4X4, manual shifter, and it did not engage. I tried L4 and nothing either.

Could they have forgotten to connect something in the Transmission? Just curious because when I take it back, I don't want them to say the problem was caused by somthing else and they stick me with the $50 deductale, AGAIN.

The 4X4 was working just fine before I took it in for service.

I have a '99 XLT 5.4 Lt. 4X4 front wheel ABS only.

I need anyones opinion ASAP for I have to take it in on Monday morning.

Thanks

Check the driverside of the t-case there is the switch that needs to be connected.

The 4X4 light does not light up. When I looked under the truck, every thing looked attached. I'll look again during the day.

Thanks

Just thought I would let ya'll know. I got my truck back yesterday. After three days at the Dealer, Tommie Vaughn, I was told that the linkage was not connected. Dude forgot to hook it back up when he put in a nother one last time I was in.

Anyway, I didn't have to pay the deductable non the rental of three days.

I have 95K miles on it now. I hope it lasts for a while now.
