Ive got a 01 with a 5.4. Whenever I come to a stop I get kinda of a humming or roaring noise. Only does it when truck is in gear. Anybody else have this or have any idea what it might be ?

no really guys not all at once !

 

Pretty common, the rubber isolator is either worn out or damaged, and when you're stopped at a light with the truck in gear, the vibration of the engine is translated right into the truck and it "drones" like a pager going off in vibrate mode.

Get your mounts checked, happened to my wife's 2001 Dodge caravan, it was a factory f@%$-up.

 

ill check it out. it only has 15000 miles on it. my 83 has 300000 and dont do that. thanks for the help !
