trans cooler line kinked- solutions for fix...help
I kinked the last inch or so of cooler line when dropping my tranny.
Can this be spliced or repaired?
Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

If you can't reshape it, because it's too far gone, you can put in a 3/8" plumbers compression coupling from the hardware store that is made for 3/8" copper tubing repairs.

The way I see it you have three choices.
The first is to replace the entire line from end to end.
The second is to cut out the damaged section of tubing and replace it with a length of the appropriate size steel tubing using a pair of compression unions to button it all up.
The third and simplest way is to cut out the damaged section of tubing and replace it with a length of good rubber hose using double hose clams on each end.
Hope this helps, good luck.

I vote for Le Pew's #3. Pretty easy, just make sure the tubing is compatible with oil and use 11/32" id. If you're concerned about the connection, double clamp it. You could even flare it ahead, but you will have a hard time sliding the flare into the hose. Also, if you flare you may end up cutting the inside of the hose. When I installed my cooler, I cut the line and slide the hose on 2 inches each side used 2 clamps no flare. Been running 6 months, no problem so far.
