Hows it going,
Anyways I have a 2001 with the 5.4L and alot of the times when I'm driving and I punch it to the floor, the tranny makes a squealing type of sound. It sounds like plates sliding across each other, or something like that. I have no idea of what it could be. I don't drive the hell out of my truck, just have fun with it sometimes. thinking it could be the tranny oil, I'm switching to royal purple in a few days. Any help would be great. thanks

 

Just an idea; have you ruled out the very commonly mentioned serpentine belt squawk. This is commonly reported under WOT at second gear shifts.
