Recently had my transmission overhauled and with the exception of this one issue shifts and drives perfect. The transmission will sometimes not shift into 3 or it will randomly begin down shifting. I can seemingly make it shift by shifting to 2nd or bumping shifter towards neutral. I have changed filter and fluid as well as the plastic bushings in the column and screws that were loose on the column. Has anyone have any ideas? The truck is a 2002 F150 Supercrew with a 4.6

 

Do you have a warranty on the rebuild?

 

No warranty has expired the truck doesn’t have a lot of miles on the transmission. We started driving something else shortly after having the transmission overhauled.
