2010 f150
I have a 2010.f150,4.6 2x4. 8th letter of the vin is a..will any other transmission work if I change the electronics or will an old style vaccum transmission like fmx work.

 

A is not possible for the 8th character on a 2010 F150. If you have a 2 valve engine you have a 4 speed 4R75. If it's a 3 valve you have a 6 speed 6R80. Either way, you are stuck with what you have. There are no old style vacuum transmissions that will bolt to a 4.6.
