transmission issues

transmission issues

so my trans went out on my 2000 xlt 4.6 (f150) ,i bought a 98 f250 4.6 as far as i can tell from all the specs they are compatible of course im an ironworker not a mechanic.... well after 4 days after work in the cold ive finally finished except ,now when i start off it does a weird sputter when i give it gas i put all of the trans (gear) in from the 250 into the 150 and like i said im not a mechanic just trying to save a little i read about a torque convertor shudder, is that my problem or am i a complete moron .. any help would be appreciated ..thanks

Torque converter shudder can't happen when you're just starting off. Read the codes, there may be some stored that will help diagnose what's wrong.
