Transmission solenoid

So I I have a f150, bit this is about a explorer Transmission solenoid. Have a 03 Explorer and replaced the solenoid pack.saw an idea that said to purge the air out which I did at the time by submerging in trans fluid. Got everything back together and had problems with the battery. Long story short, after finally getting fluid in it and started it does want to shift into any gear. Pull the shift lever down and it only slides into drive but doesn’t move. Have I missed something or is the O2 purge need to be redone? Also the pack I took out has the same part number except for the first number, original has a 1 and the new has a 9! I have no idea if that matters at all!! Any ideas?

Apparently I can’t read. This is the part # off the one that was sent and I installed 9L2Z7G391A! And I am illiterate on just about anything dealing with transmissions, I can do the work but have no knowledge about them. Didn’t realize there were several different part # for the solenoid pack, I’m gonna go out on a limb and and say that’s pretty important piece of information to know!

It looks like 4L2Z7G391A and 9L2Z7G391A are interchangeable and are the correct part numbers. You have either a 5R55W or 5R55S.

You may need to replace it with the same part number.
