im a bit confused on stall speed in the tc. I purchased one with a stall speed of 1900 - 2200 that should arrive tomorrow. After i purchase it i was told the truck wont move until rpms get in the 1900 2200 range but after reading online that may not be the case. It will be going into a 2005 f 150 5.4l 4x4. I am replacing the seized motor and need to put a new tc in also. Everything is stock. I use the truck as a work truck, sometimes i tow or have heavy loads in it. The place im buying the tc from also has one with a stall speed of 1600 - 1800. What would be the difference between the 2 tc? Should i stick with the 1900 to 2200 or return it and get the 1600 - 1800 or something different? Thank you

 

Not true. Stall speed is how high the RPM will go sitting still, holding foot on brake, and flooring accelerator. 1900-2200 is stock with a 5.4 with 4R75, keep what you bought.

That 1900-2200 stall speed would be stock for the 4.2L
