Tyranny replace 04

I've got an 04 f150 4.6 2wd with trans code A. I need a new tyranny, i found a guy with an 04 2wd but his had a 5.4, will it still plug and play?

It should but I'd put a new 4.6 torque converter in with it.

I wasn't for sure because I'm not sure if the other transmission is a 4r70 or a 4r75, I've read so.much conflicting info

It shouldn't matter if they are both 04 V8 and new body style.

I found a forum wrote up on these transmissions finally and it explained everything, you guys are awesome, big thanks to Darrin for clearing it up
