Loud whining, LISTEN TO VIDEO

I have had nothing but problems wit’s this truck since I got 5 months ago. I Have an 05 f150 5.4 3valve 122000 miles. The guy who I got it from had the tongue converter replaced 1 month before I bought it. So now when I start it up No matter hot or cold, there is a whine coming from the trans from the best I can tell, i first thought power steering but you can sit and turn the wheel back and forth and doesn’t affect the noise.

The noise isn’t when you are in park or neutral but every other gear, my gas mileage goes up and down, sometimes if I turn my air on seems to affect the whine and runs better with it on, and I can feel it blow hot just all of a sudden and when it is doing this it shifts hard the tick from the cam phaser is a lot louder,..... I have put so much money into this thing I am just **** lost on what it is......

Note: the torque converter was still under warranty took it back to the ford dealer that put it in they had it 3 days said everything checks out good. Now 5 months later it just keeps getting worse and worse!!! Checked rechecked tranny fluid.

now that this has start the rear end has started to leak the front diff has started to leak, transfer case leaks.... I mean is it just a piece of **** help men cause I do like the truck but can’t afford it if it keeps this **** up.

I have replaced fluid in front diff, rear, and transfer case.... no it’s not leaking cause that cause it’s coming out of the seals which I didn’t touch

Does it still do it if you pull the serpentine belt? It may not be transmission related.

Take it to a trans shop and get them to listen to it.

So why would it only do it in gear aren’t all the pulleys spinning in park and neutral?

You never know. Not that difficult to pop the belt off and try it, sure beats pulling the trans.

I once had an alternator whine when the car was put into gear. It would go away when I stepped on the gas. Take the belt off and see what happens.
