trouble with my f150 7700 series transmission

I've lost drive and overdrive in it but all other gears work..anybody have any suggestions on where I would start troubleshooting??

I would get the truck scanned for transmission codes.

You'll need a more advanced scanner than what the free code scans offer.

What year? 4R70W or E4OD/4R100?
