Speed sensor for 2001 m5r2

Does anyone know where the speed sensor is on this transmission? I see a gold plug looking thing on the driver side and another bolt on the passenger side, but there's no obvious electrical connections on the transmissiom.

Why would there be a speed sensor on this transmission?

I just finished swapping this transmission into my 06 supercrew, 4x4, and I guess a better question would be; where is the vss for the speedo located on the 01 4x4 trucks equipped with the m5r2 5 speed?

According to the factory service documentation, it's on the transfer case, see attachment (zone E-7).

The rear differential sensor on this era of truck is used only for the 4WABS system which has no communications with anything else on the truck.

Sorry, Mark.

That's exactly like what I was looking for. Do you guys know if I would need to get a complete transfer case, or would I be able to just get a tail housing with the sensor?
