Tranny problems after u-joint replacement

Hey Y'all, New to the thread. Anyway, straight to business. I have a 1991 F150 XLT Larriat RWD with the AOD transmission. I havent been having any transmission problems but my u-joints went bad. After I replaced them my transmission now shifts at high RPMs. 1st to 2nd at about 2000 rpm, 2nd to 3rd about 3000 to 3500 rpms, and wont shift into 4th with a stomp on the gas with a quick release. Any ideas? I'm about to give up and just rebuild the tranny.
