2002 TCC relay location.

My 2002 F-150 2x4 has had the tranny changed in the past. Now has a TCC problem. I removed the tranny pan. The tranny has a relay pack. Is the TCC relay in the relay pack? If not where is the TCC relay?
Denny

Maybe this will make it easer to understand my questions.

Transmission-torque-converter-clutch-solenoid.

Solenoid pack.

There's no such thing as a "TCC relay" or a "relay pack" in the transmission.

Assuming you have 4R70W transmission, you should see this when have the pan and filter removed

mitymerc,
Thank you for the come back. I have determined my transmission is a E40D.
Is the TCC solenoid in the Solenoid pack or some where by its self?
Truck works fine in reverse but jerks and stalls in forward at first start to move forward.

The E4OD was long gone by 2002, and very few 2002's came with a 4R100.

It is 100% impossible for it to be an E4OD.

It's likely the 4R70W, but you'd have to go and read the label on the door, then look up the code, to know for certain.

Here are the possible "TR" codes for the 02 F150:

M — five-speed manual overdrive (Mazda M5R2-C)
U — four-speed automatic (AODE, W/4R70W)
E — four-speed automatic (4R100)
7 — four-speed automatic (4R100), Lightning

If it's a E4OD or a 4R100, the transmission pan is shaped like the state of Utah. The 4R70 pan is pretty close to rectangular.
