These 6 speed trannys dont have dipsticks, how are you supposed to change the fluid and get the right amount in?

Go to a shop that has an exchange machine.

There is a dipstick, sort of - there is one attached to the fill plug.

I have a 2014 and made my own dip stick. I bought the Ford part which is the metal plug and it comes with the short plastic dip stick that slides out of the plug. Cost is 8.00 from the dealer. I drilled a hole in the top of the plastic dip stick and JB Welded a metal rod to it which is bent about 135 degrees. This has the perfect angle so when you're under the truck with the motor running, you can easily slide the dip stick in and out without getting your hand near the hot cat. I added a magnefine filter and had to slightly adjust the fluid level. Also plan on a replacing the pan fluid every 30k or so as the thermostat in this transmission makes it hard to flush the entire transmission via the cooler lines like we used to with the older transmissions. I'll add a drain plug to the pan when I remove it the first time. Then I'll leave the pan on for subsequent drains.

I bought the "u-haul" transmission pan for my 2005 with 4R75 tranny, it had the drain plug, does that fit on the new 6 speeds?

Mine runs at about 196 degrees. It is designed to run between 195-205 under normal conditions. The fluid is a new kind.
