jmod question

I have a 97 f150 4.6 4wd with 4r70w and a kenne bell blower. I am wanting to do the jmod when it warms up here in tulsa. Anyway i have read a ton but i keep getting conflicting reports on if it works on the truck or not.

Is my valve body not going to take the mods? Or do i just need to leave the enlogated holes alone and drill the rest?

Also do i drill bigger holes then those shown because of blower and regear.

I planned to replace with all of the sonnex hardware that is better. Trans was rebuilt back in 2008 so not sure if they are upgraded or not.

Still a little unsure about drilling it. Thanks ahead of time
Ryan

Sort of. A lot of the trucks had a much different setup in the valve body and I have modded many with various results.

You can tell what you are in for from looking at the plate that is in your valve body. Particularly you can visibly see that there are some huge differences relating to application of the forward clutch on that plate. If hole "#9" is a slot instead of a hole then you are going to have some issues.

But, you can swap in a valve body that isn't set up that way and mod it accordingly.
