Can a computer out of a 98 f150 5.4L truck with an e40d work with a 4r100 tranny?

 

In what year and model vehicle?

 

truck is a 98 f150 that had an original 4.6/4r70w. Now it has a 99+ lightning engine and 4r100 trans. I was told i needed a controller for that would control a 4r100, that being said the 98 5.4s came with an e40d.

If i ran a lighting pcm i may would need to repin the instrument cluster

So a 98 pcm for a 5.4 and e40d/4r100 would be simplest if it would work
