Tranny Slipping???

Hello, I have a 98 F-150 with fairly high miles. Lately it feels like the trans is slipping/hesitating when cruising on the highway. You get a very slight hesitation that happens repeatedly. It does not rev up, does not happen when shifting or accelerating and not as much when pulling a trailer. The truck will still accelerate normally. I have had the fluid and filter replaced. Does this sound like the tranny or could the computer or sensors cause it?

I'd look at a possible misfire - how many miles on the spark plugs? Do you have coil packs and wires (4.6) or coil on plug (5.4)? Have you used any injector cleaner in recent history?

That proves it is not the transmission. If the transmission were slipping it would rev up. It's an engine issue.
