Tranny Fluid and Filter change

I have a 2000 F150 with the 4R70W tranny. Ford flushed the fluids out at about 42,000 and also at 85,000. It now has 124,000 and I`m going to change the filter and replace all the fluid myself this time. I know the Motorcraft Mercon V is the best to use but can get a deal on the the Castrol transmax mercon v for about 15qts for $60.00. I`ll be using the Ford filter for the change though.

Any problems using this Castrol in the tranny this time? I do tow with the truck off and on and reason I want to keep up on this stuff. Also have to pop the rear seals as ones leaking as well as new brakes and rotors in the rear at the same time. Parking brake pads will get changed to since its all apart anyways.

Castrol MERCON V is fine. I wouldn't change the filter, though. There is no reason to change it. It isn't plugged and it was designed to last the life of the transmission.
