I'm removing my the AOD transmission from my '87 F-150 because I believe the torque converter is bad. With the tranny and transfer case in neutral, I can't manually turn the crankshaft to get to the converter-to-flywheel attaching nuts. Am I doing something wrong, or does this give suspect to bigger issues?

 

It makes it a lot easier if you pull the spark plugs. If it still won't turn, then you do have issues.
